The Bone Shaker

Oh yes, it’s that spooky time of year again, it’s Halloween, and the one day of the year when adults get away with acting like weirdos and needing most likely a good dose of liquid courage to don the costume of the century for that wicked friends party?

If you dare to venture out to a bar on Halloween, then good luck to you! For the home ghouls we advise mixing up something sinister (and delicious!) at home.

So, whether you have a day time party or an evening ghoul fest, why not try make this at home?

    40ml Lambay Small Batch Blend

    10ml Cointreau

    40ml Cloudy Apple Juice

    40ml Lemon Juice

    40ml Autumn Spiced Syrup

    2 dashes Spiced Aromatic Bitters

     

Method

For the Autumn Spiced Syrup:
Add 125ml of water to a pan and bring to the boil,  turn off the heat and add 125gr of sugar, 1 stick of cinnamon, 1 cardamom pod, 2 cloves, 3 grates of nutmeg and half teaspoon of ground all spice. Stir for 5 mins until sugar is dissolved and flavour is infused into the syrup. Strain, cool, and bottle.

For the drink:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is chilled, this should take, about 15 seconds. Strain cocktail through a strainer into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with grated your scariest treats and serve.
