23 bedrooms across an island hamlet designed by Ned Lutyens a 16th Century castle, the Whitehouse, and old coastguard cottages, six private events spaces, a games room, a dining room with a vaulted ceiling, a clubroom, a drinks bar, open fires, stunning gardens, and a private members club.
Lambay Castle is available to hire only a limited number of times per year and as part of a whole island rental. The Old Fort is 16th Century and the Lutyens Wing was added in 1910. All the furnishing and fittings are the originals chosen or designed by Edwin Lutyens himself; the collections and artwork are those collected by Cecil and Maude Baring and added to by their son, Rupert Revelstoke.
There are nine bedrooms - four doubles and five singles - and a self-contained flat within the Lutyens wing with a further two bedrooms, although this is reserved for the resident Baring family. Bathrooms are luxurious and beautifully appointed but generally shared between two bedrooms or more. The maximum capacity is 10 people.
Lambay accepts a limited number of pre-arranged guests between the months of March and November. Island visits are subject to the tides, weather, and availability of the resident Baring family and our local island guides.
Please note the island is closed to visitors in December, January, and February.
For both corporate and private groups, Lambay provides a sensational and unforgettable destination with ample space for fresh air walks, personal development and reflection, think tanks, conferences, and workshops, as well as a stunning setting for lunch, afternoon tea, or dinner.
From Architectural tours to walking tours or all-island hire we recommend contacting the island directly.
Lambay Whiskey do not arrange these private hires for Lambay Island but we do ensure that your glasses are full when looking to taste!
