A tale of time and tides, Lambay Irish Whiskey is proud to announce our new release Single Malt- Single Cask Strength –Cask 6688.
Following on from the Autumn release last year of Cask 2545, this limited edition, exclusive bottling is sure to whet the connoisseur’s appetite!
Lambay Single Malt is a triple distilled malt whiskey, bourbon cask matured finished in cognac casks that lay close to the Lambay island’s shoreline housed in the Sea Cask Room.
Unique and exclusive, the Single Cask Strength expression of Lambay Whiskey Single Malt is a pure taste of island life.
Cask 6688 is the sixth release of twenty in this exclusive Premium Cask Program.
Limited to just 446 bottles and will be released exclusively on our E-Store and markets such as France and Japan.
All cognac casks used in the finish of this whiskey have been hand-selected for their rich aromatic profile and intense concentration from leading independent cognac house Camus. Wholly finished in these cognac casks, seasons have passed and infused the whiskey with maritime notes, evident in the salt and brine flavors in this expression.
Our warehouse lays on Lambay’s western shoreline and offers perfect conditions for cask maturation. The island with its unique micro-climate is always one or two degrees warmer than the mainland and perfect for cask maturation. Sea-spray and the island’s natural botanicals infuse the wood as the Lambay Single Malt matures.

Each bottle from Cask 6688 is recorded with a batch number on the label along with the rare signature of Lambay’s Master Blender –Yonael Bernard.
Presented in a craft wood case with a neck tag, the location and unique details of the cask are clearly communicated to the customer, a true collectors whiskey.
The triple distillation of the Single Malt and long period of maturation in the cognac cask on Lambay Island makes for a surprising sweet long-lasting malt finish, especially for this high-strength whiskey.
